The Community Centre was officially opened in June 1988. Over the years it has been significantly extended and updated to provide the excellent facility that Langham enjoys today.

The most significant developments over recent years have been:

2010: completion of a major extension to provide a permanent venue for Langham Community Shop and dedicated premises for Langham Pre-School, thereby freeing up the Club Room for public hire.

2012: purchase of modern cinema and PA equipment, providing excellent audio-visual capabilities for Cinema, Concerts and Business Meetings.

2012: upgrading of all doors to double-glazing.

2013: high speed internet installed.

2013: provision of dishwasher in main kitchen; separate kitchenette installed in Committee Room allowing use as self-contained unit.

2013: Main Hall re-fitted with Junckers flooring, renovated stage, and 120 new cushioned chairs.

2014: Replaced stage curtains and Club Room and Committee Room blinds. Stage lighting and fader console installed.

2015: Air Conditioning installed in Committee Room.

2016: All windows now double glazed. High level Velux windows now with electrically operated opening and blinds.

2016: Main Hall and Stage re-decoration; floor re-seal.

2016: Major Kitchen renovation.

2016: Installation of large rear patio area.
